Q&A
The Greek system was introduced at Nebraska
Wesleyan University more than 115 years ago and remains a
strong tradition within Wesleyan's residential community.
The system shares responsibility with the University for enhancing
scholastic and leadership opportunities for Wesleyan students,
and thus strengthening the total quality of student life.
The system follows five core values: academic excellence,
campus involvement, leadership, development of relationships
with Greek alumni, and life-long friendships.
Nebraska Wesleyan's Greek community continues
to impact the University in many positive ways. Greek affiliated
students excel academically and regularly exceed the all-campus GPA.
In addition to their top scholastic achievements,
Greek students are involved in many facets of the University.
They hold leadership positions in organizations such as student
government, the Nebraska Wesleyan Board of Governors, the
Ambassadors program of the Admissions Office, the New Student
Orientation Program, and others. They also are active in a
variety of philanthropic and service projects in the Lincoln
community and beyond.
