Get Involved

Elections are held each November for the following positions of the Nebraska Wesleyan University Student Affairs Senate:

  • President and Vice President
  • 15-20 representatives of the five academic divisions
  • one senator from each residential facility, including Greek chapters
  • one senator representing the international student body
  • four commuter student representatives
  • two senators representing ethnic minority students
  • one senator representing students with disabilities

Students must complete petitions to have their names placed on the SAS ballot. Following election, members of the Student Affairs Senate elect the following:

  • one or two secretaries who serve as non-voting members of SAS and the Executive Council
  • a technology coordinator who serves as a non-voting member of SAS
  • a treasurer from the elected body
  • committee chairs from the elected body

The SAS Executive Council is made up of the President, Vice-President, Chairpersons of standing committees, Secretary(ies), Treasurer, and the Senate Advisor.
