Get Involved
Elections are held each November for the following positions of the Nebraska Wesleyan University Student Affairs Senate:
- President and Vice President
- 15-20 representatives of the five academic divisions
- one senator from each residential facility,
including Greek chapters
- one senator representing the international
student body
- four commuter student representatives
- two senators representing ethnic minority
students
- one senator representing students with
disabilities
Students must complete petitions to have their names placed on the SAS ballot. Following election, members of the Student Affairs Senate elect the following:
- one or two secretaries who serve as non-voting
members of SAS and the Executive Council
- a technology coordinator who serves as
a non-voting member of SAS
- a treasurer from the elected body
- committee chairs from the elected body
The SAS Executive Council is made up of the
President, Vice-President, Chairpersons of standing committees,
Secretary(ies), Treasurer, and the Senate Advisor.
