Student Success Seminar

Struggling academically? There’s help.

NWU offers a course designed to strengthen your skills in time management, organization and studying: “IDS 190: Student Success Seminar”. This two-credit-hour course on achieving academic success meets once a week.

Academic Achievement Specialist Kim Jacobson leads the course, which focuses on:

  • Note taking
  • Memorization
  • Rehearsing
  • Studying
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Organizing.

“The course provides a positive support network with other students,” said Jacobson. “Students recognize they are not the only ones having difficulty. They are able to help each other with different skills.”

Find Jacobson in Cochrane-Woods Library 304 next to the Cooper Center. Email kjacobso@nebrwesleyan.edu or call 402.465.2458.
