Child Care during Policy Council: Child care for Head Start children that have parents attending Head Start Policy Council. Responsibilities include providing childcare while assisting with activities
Weatherization Data Entry Clerk: Enter data into Service Point, take applications when clients apply for assistance. M-F morning, afterrnoon or evening Greeter Volunteer (VITA): Greet taxpayers, guide to the tax preparation room. Help with sign in and documentation preparation. Intake Volunteer (VITA): Responsible for helping taxpayers fill out intake paperwork. Pass out form to taxpayers, answer simple tax questions. Make sure forms are filled out correctly and completely. Ensure taxpayer has all proper documentation. Direct taxpayer to tax preparer. Tax Preparer Volunteer: Prepare income tax returns for those who come to VITA site. Volunteer for a minimum of 12 hours/month late Jan-April 15. 6 hours in Dec/Jan requierd am or pm any day Childcare: Provide childcare while assisting with activities for children during Parent Committee meetings; 3rd Thursday of every month 4:30-6:30pm; Volunteer application, background/reference check, and interview required Also opportunities to work more directly with refugees/immigrants. Call for more details.
Educare assistant cook volunteer: Assist the lead cook with preparing meals for Educare students each day, which includes lunch and snack. Assume responsibilities of keeping the Educare kitchen clean and stocked for the next day's meal preparation. Clean and sanitize kitchen and tools used for food prep. Wash floors, sinks, walls, and other items that are necessary.
