The mission of LUX Center for the Arts is to enhance the lives of a diverse public through the visual arts by providing exceptional learning opportunities is contemporary art, craft, and design. These opportunities, honoring the legacy of arts educator Gladys M. Lux, include art classes, residency programs, gallery exhibitions, and community outreach.

Assistant Studio Technicians: Assist artists-in-residence in the mainntenace of the ceramics, printmaking, painting and textiles studios. Duties of assistant technicians include mopping, tool/equipment cleaning, supply organization, mixing, and kiln firing.

Gallery Attendant - Help customers with art purchases, registering for classes, and answer questions.
Ring up sales via a computerized inventory system, greet customers and students, provide information about the LUX to customers, answer phones, dust, mop, pack and process shipments, unpack new inventory and enter into the system. Volunteers must have basic computer skills and a friendly disposition. Dress in a presentable, business casual manner. Volunteers receive discounts on merchandise and art classes after being involved on a regular basis. Available for Tues-Fri 11-5 or Sat 10-5 in 3-4 hour time slots. Must be able to volunteer on a weekly basis.
