Ombudsman Advocate: Professional position that utilizes negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills. Volunteers visit with nursing homes and assisted living residents to listen to their needs and concerns. An initial 20-hour training prepares volunteers to become an effective Nebraska State Certified Ombudsman Advocate. Become part of a reputable program that helps improve quality of care of vulnerable adults. Volunteers determine their own flexible work schedule by working only 2 hours per week.
