Move-in Information

New Students

Move-in day for most new students is 8 am to noon on Wednesday, August 17. Check in at the tent west of the Weary Center.

Athletes

Football players move in from 2 to 4 pm on August 10. Check in at the Weary Center.

Soccer players move in from 2 to 4 pm on August 16. Check in at the Residential Education and Housing Office aon the first floor of Centennial Hall.

Checking In

You'll need to check in both for New Student Orientation and for moving into your residence hall. Check in at the tent west of the Weary Center. Keep a family member with your vehicle and belongings while you check in. Students from NWU's Greek system will be there to help you unload and carry your things.

If extenuating circumstances force you to arrive at a different time, please contact the Residential Education Office at 800.541.3818 ext. 2161 as soon as possible.

Except for football and soccer players, new students need approval to check in before August 17. Students who arrive before their assigned check-in day will be charged a $20 early arrival fee per night.

Where to park during move-in

Parking assignments are based on your residence hall assignment as listed below. Check in at the tent to receive your parking pass.

Centennial, Johnson and Pioneer Students
Enter the north side of campus at 53rd and Madison. You'll be directed where to park and unload.

Plainsman Students
Temporarily park along the north side of Huntington St. near 52nd, unload, then immediately move your vehicle to allow others to use this area. The Lincoln Police Department has approved temporary stopping along Huntington St. Please follow posted instructions upon arrival.
