The Weary Center offers a wide variety of facilities available to all NWU students, faculty and staff.

Aerobics Room

A private workout room equipped with mirrors, television with DVD player and stereo equipment with iPod hookup capabilities. Users may only use the Aerobics Room for one hour at a time. The Aerobics Room may periodically be unavailable for use due to scheduled fitness classes.

Cardiovascular Room

Bikes, elliptical machines and treadmills highlight the cardio portion of the room. Users also have access to the room's weight equipment which includes dumbbells and selectorized equipment. Spin bikes are also available with a television and DVD player dedicated for their use.

Circuit Training Room

A room adjacent to the Weight Room equipped with a radio and a wide selection of selectorized equipment.

Knight Field House

An indoor running track and three basketball courts on the same type of surface used at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

• The Field House is unavailable from 3:00pm-7:00pm M-F for athletic practices. If practices are not scheduled, however, it will be made available for Open Rec.

Locker Rooms

Recreational locker rooms are available near the weight room. Lockers in this area are for day-use only. Additional recreational locker rooms are available near the pool. Lockers in this area are available for checkout for employees and commuter students. For more information about locker check out, please stop by the Weary Center front desk.

• The locker rooms near the weight room will occasionally be unavailable as these locker rooms are used for visiting teams during home athletic events.

Racquetball Courts

Three racquetball courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Goggles are required during all racquetball activity and can be checked out at the Weary Center front desk.

Swimming Pool

Enjoy access to a 6 lane, 25-yard swimming pool. All pool time is supervised by a lifeguard. Some pool equipment is available for pool use. The pool is only available to NWU students, faculty, staff and their families. Guest pass and community pass holders will not have access to the swimming pool.

Weight Room

A room equipped with mirrors, a radio and a wide variety of bench presses, squat racks, Hammer Strength equipment and dumbbells.

Some facilities may occasionally be unavailable due to scheduled events and practices. More information about these interruptions will be posted at the Front Desk when appropriate.
