BSN to MSN Application Process
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
The following are required for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing degree Program.
- Completion of the Graduate Admission Application form
- Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions
- Completion of the Master of Science in Nursing Admission Application form
- Baccalaureate nursing degree from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Current Nebraska R.N. license
- Two letters of support verifying academic and professional abilities
- Personal Educational Goals Statement page
- A cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
- An undergraduate research course
- Successful completion of background check

To apply to the MSN program, complete and/or submit the following:
- Graduate Admission Application form* (view and print)
- Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions
- Two letters of support (view and print) verifying academic and professional abilities. It is suggested that one letter of support be written by a professor with whom you have taken a course and one by a health care provider, preferably a nurse, who is familiar with your professional experience. Full-time members of the NWU Department of Nursing are part of the Admissions Committee and therefore are unable to write letters of support.

*The Graduate Admission Application form, the Master of Science in Nursing Admissions Application, the photocopy of your nursing license, and the Personal Goals Statement page should be sent together to the Wesleyan Advantage Office.

APPLICATION TIMELINE
- All application materials are due to NWU three weeks before the session start date in which the student will enroll
- NWU mails acceptance letters within two weeks of all application materials being received
- Students must notify NWU that he/she accepts position in MSN class two weeks prior to the class start date
