Application Process

To be considered for admission to the Master of Forensic Science (MFS) program, students must meet all general eligibility requirements of Nebraska Wesleyan University. MFS applicants must also meet the following specific admissions requirements of the MFS program:

  1. Applicant's cumulative undergraduate grade point average must be 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
  2. Applicant must agree to a criminal background check
  3. Applicant must possess a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
  4. Applicants must have prerequisites specific to their track. (see prerequisites)

Apply

To apply to the MFS program, complete and/or submit the following:

  1. Graduate Admission Application form* (view and print)
  2. Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions (have transcripts sent directly to address below; transcripts issued to students are not accepted)
  3. Two letters of support (view and print template) verifying academic and professional abilities. It is suggested that letters of support be from faculty members who know your work, internship supervisors, or work supervisors (if applicants already work in the field). Full-time faculty members of the NWU Forensic Science program are part of the Admissions committee, and therefore unable to write letters of support.
  4. $50 application fee (checks may be made out to Nebraska Wesleyan University)
  5. Letter stating personal goals in attending the program

*The Graduate Admissions Application form, Master of Forensic Science Admission Application form, and the application fee should be submitted together.
