Application Process

Persons credentialed to teach U.S. History and/or Social Studies in Nebraska are provisionally admitted to the program on the recommendation of their school district or principal. Upon completion of the 12-hour certificate program (including History 501, 502, 521 and 550) students apply for full admission into the degree program.

Apply

To apply to the MAHS program, complete and/or submit the following:

  1. Graduate Admission Application form (view and print)
  2. Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions (have transcripts sent directly to address below; transcrips issued to students are not accepted)
  3. Two letters of support
  4. $50 application fee (checks may be made out to Nebraska Wesleyan University)
  5. Letter stating personal goals in attending the program
