Forensic Science Seminars

The Forensic Science Continuing Education Program at Nebraska Wesleyan University is designed to give those who work in medico-legal situations an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field in a cost-effective and convenient manner. College credit is available for these courses and they are also eligible for law enforcement continuing education credits.

One-credit courses consist of 12 hours of instruction scheduled either on Friday and Saturday or two Saturdays. Topics include:

  • Blood spatter
  • Interviewing witnesses
  • Threat assessment
  • Forensic photography
  • Expert witness testimony
  • Basics of forensic anthropology

Three-credit courses consist of 40 hours of instruction, offered for one week on scheduled dates. Topics include:

  • Forensic Archaeology
  • Setting up a cold case unit
