Nebraska Wesleyan University students, faculty, and staff now have access to ARTstor, the premier online database of art images and information - "The ARTstor Digital Library offers more than one million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences with a suite of software tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes. ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials

"[ATLA] combines the premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion with ATLA's online collection of major religion and theology journals. The ATLA Religion Database includes more than 555,000 article citations from more than 1,656 journals (518 currently indexed), more than 232,000 essay citations from over 16,700 multi-author works, and more than 511,000 book review citations. Full text is provided for more than 266,000 electronic articles and book reviews. This database is produced by the American Theological Library Association."

Biography Reference Bank

1998 - current

Contains more than 111,000 biographies and obituaries as well as more than 32,000 photographs of the subjects. Many of the biographies are enhanced with full text, abstracts, and citations from H.W. Wilson databases. It contains full text articles from more than 100 volumes of biographical reference books published by H.W. Wilson, history, and over 65,000 profiles licensed from a number of respected reference publishers.

Government Printing Office Database (GPO Access)

1976 - current

Covers all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executie departments, etc. Free online use of many Federal databases, including the Federal Register, the Code of Federal Regulations, GAO reports,the United States Code, Regulations, the Congressional Record and Congressional Bills. Updated monthly.

Health Source: Consumer Edition

This resource provides access to nearly 300 full text, consumer health periodicals, including American Fitness, Better Nutrition, Harvard Health Letter, HealthFacts, Men's Health, Muscle & Fitness, Prevention, Vegetarian Times, and many others. In addition to full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for more than 300 periodicals.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition

Provides full text access to 550 health journals, with emphasis on nursing and the allied health fields. Also, abstracts and indexing for 850 journals are included.

Historical Statistics of the United States

JoVE Behavior

Part of the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE), JoVE Behavior documents observational and experimental techniques that seek to understand human and animal behavior. Work in this field includes analysis of genetic causes and physiological responses to internal or external stimuli as well as the implicated brain regions.

JoVE Neuroscience

Part of the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE), JoVE Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary section devoted to investigations of the structure, function, physiology, and pathophysiology of the brain and nervous system. Included methodologies range from molecular and cellular level studies to full central and peripheral neural systems. Potential treatment platforms and surgical techniques for neurological diseases and disorders are also presented in this section.

JSTOR

Full-text journal backfile articles from humanities and social sciences periodicals. Subjects include history, literature, languages, mathematics, African-American studies, business, economics, finance, philosophy and anthropology, among others.

JSTOR Global Plants

The largest of its kind, Global Plants is a community-contributed database where worldwide herbaria can share their plant type specimens, experts can determine and update naming structures, students can discover and learn about plants in context, and a record of plant life can be preserved for future generations.  Global Plants contains the contributed collections of more than 300 herbaria from around the globe. Researchers and students can also access reference works and primary sources—such as collectors’ correspondence and diaries, paintings, drawings, and photographs—contributed by partners. Music Index

Featuring digitized content from 1970 to the present, the Music Index contains cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts of articles about music, musicians and the music industry for more than 480 periodicals. It also provides selective coverage for more than 200 periodicals.

Naxos Music Library

Naxos Music Library is the world's largest online classical music library. Currently, it offers streaming access to more than 25,370 CDs with more than 362,900 tracks. On average, 500 new CDs are added to the library every month.

The library offers the catalogs of more than 50 classical, jazz and world music labels with more labels joining every month.

Nebraska Wesleyan Picture and Archive Collection

Nebraska Wesleyan Picture Archive is a collection of digitized photographs featuring campus buildings, students, faculty, and life in general at Nebraska Wesleyan University throughout the years.  The collection is updated daily.

NebraskAccess

A collection of databases, full-text articles, and web resources compiled and maintained by the Nebraska Library Commission. Topics vary, covering the humanities, social sciences, general sciences, education, among others.

Newspaper Source Plus

Provides more than 1,000 full-text newspapers, providing more than 39 million full-text articles. This database contains comprehensive full text for major newspaper. Some titles are: Christian Science Monitor, San Francisco Chronicle,  The Sydney Morning Herald (Australia), The Times (UK),Toronto Star, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Washington Times (DC), The Philadelphia Inquirer, Houston Chronicle, Star Tribune (Minneapolis).

Indexes periodical literature published between 1890 and 1982 (covers volumes 1-40 of the Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature).

SAGE Premier

This database gives access to more than 570 journals. Over 292,000 full-text articles cover a variety of subject areas, including social sciences and humanities.

This database was developed and is maintained through the cataloging efforts of OCLC member libraries. It is a useful resource for interlibrary loan.
