The exhibit "Real Made Real" features artists Josh Johnson, Matthew Blache and Jason Tanner Young.
These artists use found objects, re-fabricated objects, or a synthesis of both to generate sculptural narratives. Their work focuses on the interpretation of casual things: a penny, boat, windshield, sawhorse, book, snow shovel, and more.
The exhibit runs February 11-March 7. A closing reception will be held on Friday, March 7 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The artist talk begins at 6 p.m.
Elder Gallery is located inside the Rogers Center for Fine Arts at 50th Street and Huntington Ave. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Monday.
