Curtis Lecture on Public Leadership: Former U.S. Ambassador Peter Burleigh

Peter Burleigh was an U.S. ambassador three times to the United Nations, to Sri Lanka, and for Counter-Terrorism, and a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State three times.
Her retired from Foreign Service in 2000, and returned in 2011-2012 to take charge of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.
Burleigh will deliver this year's Curtis Lecture on Public Leadership, which brings to campus public service leaders such as federal and state office holders, diplomats, and academic leaders in the areas of political science, history, human relations and communications. The lecture was established by Mildred Curtis in honor of her late husband, Senator Carl T. Curtis ('28).
Olin B Lecture Hall is located one block east of 50th Street and St. Paul Ave. The lecture is free and open to the public.
