Theatre production: Stage Door
Stage Door is a 1936 traditional comedy by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. A group of young women have come to New York to pursue careers on the stage. Mrs. Orcutt's boarding house is where the hopes and ambitions of 16 young women are revealed in scenes of entertaining comedy. While one woman gives up in despair, one gets married, and another goes into film, rich society beauty Terry Randall is determined to break into the Broadway theatre scene.
