Visions & Ventures Symposium

Thu, September 16, 2010 - 10:00am to 11:30am

The theme for this year's annual Visions & Ventures Symposium is "Filters & Lenses: The Production, Dissemination and Reception of Information."

Author and columnist Ken Auletta will open Thursday's symposium with a lecture titled, "Googled: The Future of Media."

Featured speakers at this year's Visions & Ventures will explore how an abundance of information doesn't necessarily mean we're getting the truth. Other speakers include author and foreign correspondent Chris Hedges, law professor Patricia Williams and artist David Bunn.

Classes will dismiss at 6 p.m. Wednesday and classes will not be held on Thursday to allow students, faculty and staff the opportunity to attend this symposium.

This free symposium will be held in O'Donnell Auditorium.
