Nebraska Wesleyan junior Deanna Dirkschneider added another All-American honor for her career as she placed fourth in the women's shot put to highlight the Saturday performances for the Prairie Wolves at the 2012 NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Claremont, Calif.
The NWU women finished in a tie for 28th overall with eight team points as Dirkschneider and Bailey Soucie brought home All-American honors. The NWU men also scored eight team points and tied for 31st as Tommie Bardsley was an All-American.
For Dirkschneider, it was the second consecutive season that she placed fourth in the shot put. This season she had a mark of 45-5.75. She was also an All-American at the Indoor Championships by placing seventh.
Soucie also competed on Saturday in the women's javelin and placed 11th.
Two NWU men competed on Saturday at the championships. Jay Wall cleared 15-11 to placed 15th in the pole vault. Jack Chatelain was 20th in the men's triple jump with a distance of 45-10.75.
