The 2012 Great Plains Athletic Conference women’s tennis All-Conference team was dominated by Nebraska Wesleyan University players as five NWU women were All-GPAC at singles, and two doubles teams were All-GPAC.

NWU breezed through their GPAC competition on their way to the regular season and GPAC Tournament Championships.

Erica Dickmeyer (Fremont, Neb.) was All-GPAC at No. 2 singles to earn her third All-Conference recognition. Dickmeyer was 10-10 overall and 4-2 in GPAC singles play. Terah Maloley (Lexington, Neb.) also earns her third straight All-GPAC honor as she was All-Conference at No. 3 singles. For the second straight season, Maloley was a perfect 7-0 in GPAC singles play.

At No. 4 singles sophomore Hannah Husmann (Kearney, Neb.) kept her unbeaten GPAC streak alive as she went a perfect 7-0 in GPAC singles action for the second straight season. In No. 5 singles, Nicole Jacobson (Grand Island, Neb.) earns her second All-Conference honor by being named All-GPAC at No. 5 singles. Jacobson was 9-11 overall, 6-1 in GPAC play.

Rounding out the All-GPAC singles for NWU is senior Molly Andrews (Lincoln, Neb.) at No. 6 singles. Andrews was 8-8 overall and 5-2 in GPAC play.

In doubles, Maloley and Husmann were All-GPAC at No. 2 singles. The tandem was 13-8 overall and unbeaten at 7-0 in conference doubles play. Andrews and Jacobsen were the other doubles team to earn All-GPAC at No. 3 doubles. They finished 10-8 overall and also were unbeaten at 7-0 in GPAC play.

Dickmeyer and Andrea Dasilva were honorable mention All-GPAC in doubles, while Maria Mota was honorable mention in singles play.

Nebraska Wesleyan is 12-9 overall and 7-0 in the GPAC after winning both the regular season and tournament finals. NWU got an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament May 15-18 in Mobile, Alabama. The Prairie Wolves face SCAD Savannah on Tuesday at 9 am in the opening round.
