Nebraska Wesleyan University head tennis coach Dr. Rick Harley has released the names of nine recruits who plan to compete in tennis while attending NWU in 2009-10.
The recruiting class includes six women and three men players. Highlighting the women’s class is Terah Maloley from Lexington who is a two-time Class B State champion at No. 2 singles. Erica Dickmeyer from Fremont H.S., was a four-time Class A State Tournament participant, while Taylor Powers from Hastings H.S. played at the State Tournament three years.
On the men’s side, Jordan Barrett joins the NWU team after winning the Class B State Championship at No. 2 singles as a senior at Adams Central H.S. Collin Henslee from Lincoln Christian H.S., was a four-time participant at the Class B State Tournament.
The NWU tennis teams have been very successful under Coach Harley. The NWU women have qualified for three straight NAIA National Tournaments, and won four of the last six GPAC championships. The Nebraska Wesleyan men also qualified for the NAIA National Tournament and won the GPAC championship this past season.
