Dordt Women Shutout NWU, 2-0

Dordt College scored a goal in each half as the Defenders defeated Nebraska Wesleyan, 2-0, in Great Plains Athletic Conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24) in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The Prairie Wolves fall to 4-10-3 overall and remain winless in the GPAC at 0-8-3.  Dordt, the 2008 GPAC Champion, improves to 14-1-1 and 8-1-1 in the GPAC as they stay third in the league standings.

NWU managed just two shots in the entire match, while Dordt had 16 total shots and nine shots on goal.  The first goal of the match was at the 14:57 mark as Kristi Ouwinga scored off a corner kick.  The second half goal was scored by Rindy De Nooy at the 71:45 mark.

Nebraska Wesleyan has one remaining match on the season as they will attempt to end the year with a victory when they host Mount Marty College on Saturday night (Oct. 31) as part of homecoming activities on campus.
