Bulldogs Shutout NWU Women, 3-0

October 21, 2009

The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's soccer team couldn't pick up their first conference win of the season as Concordia blanked the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in very rainy conditions on Wednesday night (Oct. 21) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.

Concordia's victory over the Prairie Wolves was the first win in school history over NWU.  Nebraska Wesleyan had won the previous 17 matches between the two schools.

The Bulldogs got on the board in the first half as Carolyn Chrzan scored at the 37:16 mark of the first half.  Concordia would add two more goals in the second half with Molly Hulicek and Hannah Denk scoring goals.

NWU did manage five shots on goal, but was again unable to score.  The Prairie Wolves have scored just four goals during their 11-match winless streak.  They fall to 4-9-3 overall and 0-7-3 in GPAC play.

Nebraska Wesleyan travels to Sioxu Center, Iowa on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24) to face Dordt College.
