Emily Heger scored two goals to lead Morningside College to a 2-0 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan in a Great Plains Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday night (Oct. 17) at Elwood Olson Stadium in Sioux City, Iowa.
NWU remains winless in GPAC play as they fall to 0-6-3 in conference and 4-8-3 overall. The Prairie Wolves have now gone 10 straight matches without a victory, scoring just four goals during that streak.
Morningside picked up just their third win of the season as they improve to 3-10-1 overall and 2-6-1 in GPAC play.
The Mustangs got on the board in the 25th minute when Heger scored the first of her two goals. She added the second goal with only two minutes to play.
NWU did manage 10 shots on goal and Emily Dierks recorded 10 saves.
