Dana Defeats NWU, 2-0, in Women's Soccer

For the third straight match the Nebraska Wesleyan University women's soccer team was held without a goal as the Prairie Wolves lost a 2-0 decision to Dana College on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 22) in a Great Plains Athletic Conference match in Blair, Neb.

The Prairie Wolves fall to 4-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the GPAC, while Dana remains undefeated in GPAC play with a 3-0 mark. They are 6-1-1 overall.

Michelle Mullen got the Vikings on the board in the first half when she scored her sixth goal of the season during the 22nd minute. The score remained 1-0 at halftime.

With under two minutes to play, Kindra Sanchez added another goal for Dana to make the final score 2-0.

Sara Perdew did record 11 saves in goal for Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves had three total shots on goal.

NWU will try to get back in the win column on Saturday when they travel to Orange City, Iowa to face Northwestern College.
