Prairie Wolves Tie USF in GPAC Opener

Nebraska Wesleyan and Sioux Falls each scored one goal in 120 minutes of action, but that was all each squad could manage as the Prairie Wolves and Cougars tied, 1-1, in the Great Plains Athletic Conference women's soccer opener for both teams on Wednesday (Sept. 3) in Sioux Falls, S.D.

NWU improves to 0-2-1 overall while USF's record now stands at 0-4-1.

Neither team was able to score in the first 45 minutes of play as the score was tied 0-0 at halftime. Sioux Falls was the first to get on the board during the 49th minute when Ashley Dement put the Cougars on top.

The Prairie Wolves came back to tie the game at the 63:36 mark whhen Alecia Hatheway scored on an assist from Alison Frohn. The rest of the match was a stalemate as neither team to put the ball in the net.

Nebraska Wesleyan will return to action on Sept. 13 when they travel to the University of Dubuque.
