Dordt Edges Prairie Wolves 1-0

October 25, 2008

Noelle Kreykes scored during the 77th minute and that would be the only goal of the game as Dordt College defeated Nebraska Wesleyan, 1-0, in GPAC women's soccer action on Saturday night (Oct. 25) in Lincoln.

It was the final home game of the season for the NWU women who fall to 4-10-3 overall and 3-5-3 in the GPAC. The Defenders remain perfect in the GPAC and lead the league with a 9-0 conference record.

Neither team was able to get much going offensively as only 10 total shots were taken in the entire match. Dordt had seven shots, while NWU had just three.

The match was tied 0-0 at halftime and wasn't until the 77:06 mark that Dordt got on the board on the Kreykes goal from Kate Du Mez.

The game was delayed 25 minutes as Dordt was unable to arrive on time due to transportation issues.

Nebraska Wesleyan will close out the 2008 season on Nov. 1 when they travel to Yankton, S.D., to battle Mount Marty College.
