The postseason news is mixed at Nebraska Wesleyan as the Prairie Wolves received their fourth NCAA volleyball bid in the last five years, but the NWU women’s soccer team, despite winning its regular season conference title, was denied its first trip to the NCAA Division III Championships in school history.

Nebraska Wesleyan extended its home unbeaten streak in women’s soccer to 19 games and won the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) regular season title with a 1-0 victory against Morningside College on a wet and chilly Saturday night in Abel Stadium.

Nebraska Wesleyan has control of its own destiny in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) heading into the final weekend of league play in women’s soccer. The Prairie Wolves moved into a tie for first place with a come-from-behind 3-1 win against Concordia University on Tuesday night at Abel Stadium.

August 21

Nebraska Wesleyan placed second in the Great Plains Athletic Conference each of past two years, and that’s exactly where the GPAC women’s soccer coaches are predicting the Prairie Wolves will land again in 2005.
