The Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer team suffered its first defeat of the season as they lost to Macalester College, 1-0, on Friday (Sept. 10) in St. Paul , Minn.
NWU falls to 2-1 on the season, while Macalester improves to 2-1.
The lone goal of the match came in the first half as Matea Wasend tapped in the ball from five yards out. Neither team was able to find the open net the rest of the match.
For Nebraska Wesleyan, Alison Frohn had all four shots in the match, including two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Emily Dierks recorded eight saves for the Prairie Wolves.
NWU will conclude their Minnesota trip on Sunday (Sept. 12) when they take on St. Benedicts.
