The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's golf team opened the spring portion of their 2009-10 schedule over Spring Break with a trip to Jekyll Island, Georgia to compete in the 7th Annual Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate Invitational. The three-day tournament was held at Indian Mound Golf Course from March 19-21.
NWU finished the tournament with a three-day total of 1217. Their best day of the invite was the third and final day when they shot a team score of 390.
The Prairie Wolves were led by Alyssa McBride who finished in 79th place with a three-day score of 276 (94-92-90). Her score of 90 in the final round was the Prairie Wolves low score of the tournament.
Kiley Miller (309), Lindsey Keyes (326) and Katie Knispel (338) rounded out the team scoring for Nebraska Wesleyan.
NWU will next be in action on April 5 when they compete in the Hastings College Invitational.
