UNO Leads After Day 1 of NWU Fall Invite

The University of Nebraska-Omaha is the team leader after the first day of the Nebraska Wesleyan University women's golf Fall Invitational that was played Sunday (Oct. 5) at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln.

The Mavericks shot a team score of 322 to lead Truman State University by five strokes in the team race. Dakota Wesleyan University is in third place at 346. A total of 12 teams are competing in the two-day event.

Julie Williams is the individual leader after a round of 78 (+5). She was the lone player to break 80 on the day.

Nebraska Wesleyan is currently tied for eighth place in the invite. The Prairie Wolves had a score of 365 to tie Morningside College for eighth place. Sarah Hannon is the top scorer for NWU with a round of 87 to tie for 20th place.

Day 2 will be played on Monday morning (Oct. 6) at Highlands Golf Course. The tournament will begin at 9 am with a shotgun start.
