Nebraska Wesleyan remained in sixth place after the second GPAC Women's Golf Qualifier that was played Oct. 8 at The Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center, Iowa. The final two qualifiers will be played in the spring to determine the 2011-12 GPAC Championship.
NWU had a team score of 385 on Saturday for the eighth best score of the day. Dakota Wesleyan shot the low team score of 331 to take over the team lead by 24 strokes.
The Prairie Wolves had three players all shoot scores of 95 on the day. Brianna Beard, Brittney Dinkel and Alex Wiemers each shot 95 for the top three scores for the Prairie Wolves. The fourth score was a round of 100 for Sarah Hotovy. Leslie Graves shot a 106 to complete the NWU lineup.
Wiemers is the top overall golfer for NWU as she now sits in a four-way tie for 14th overall with a score of 179 (84-95). She is just five strokes outside the top 10.
Dinkel is also in the top 25 as she is tied for 24th with a total of 187 (90-97).
The third GPAC Qualifier will be hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan on April 10 at Pioneers Golf Course with the final qualifier to be played May 7 in Mitchell, S.D.
