Northwest Missouri State University shot a team score of 324 on day two of the NWU Fall Women's Golf Invite that concluded Monday afternoon (Sept. 19) at Pioneers Golf Course. The Bearcats two day total of 653 was good for the team championship, eight strokes better than William Penn University.
Mel Buxton from Iowa Western Community College was the low individual with a score of 148, including a 72 on Monday.
Nebraska Wesleyan improved by 29 strokes from Sunday to end with a team score of 743, to place ninth out of the 12 teams.
It was a much better performance for the Prairie Wolves on Monday in ideal conditions at Pioneers Golf Course. Alex Wiemers led the way with an 86 and a combined total of 177 to tie for 21st. Brianna Beard also broke 90 with a score of 88 on Monday and a total of 186. Brittney Dinkel was the second overall NWU golfer with a score of 181 (91-98). Rounding out the NWU scoring was Sarah Hotovy at 199 as the senior improved by 13 strokes on Monday (106-93).
