Nebraska Wesleyan shot a team score of 379 on Friday (Sept. 24) at the first round of the 38th Annual BCU/Lila Frommelt Classic in Sioux City, Iowa. The Prairie Wolves were fourth in the team standings, and that is where they would finish as Saturday's competition was cancelled due to rain.
NWU finished fourth among the 11-team field with their 379. Midland Lutheran was the team champion posting a score of 347. Sioux Falls (355) was second, followed by Briar Cliff (372).
All four Prairie Wolves players used in scoring had rounds in the 90s. Lindsey Keyes was the top finisher for NWU with a score of 91 to place 11th. Brittney Dinkel shot a 94 to place 15th overall. Kiley Miller (95) and Sarah Johnson (99) rounded out the Nebraska Wesleyan scores.
Sarah Hotovy was the fifth Prairie Wolves golfer with a score of 103. Jessyca Herman and Katie Knispel both played as individuals and fired rounds of 101 and 103, respectively.
Nebraska Wesleyan will compete in the Midland Invite on Tuesday (Sept. 28) in Fremont, Neb.
