December 7

For the fifth season in a row, runners from Nebraska Wesleyan University earned major honors when the All-Independent Cross Country teams were announced by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I).

November 21

Jackie Spelts ran a time of 22:22.6 to place ninth overall at the 2009 NCAA III Cross Country championships on Saturday (Nov. 21) in Cleveland, Ohio to earn her second straight All-American honor.

November 14

Both the Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s and women’s cross country teams stepped up their efforts and placed in the top two at the NCAA III Central Regionals on Saturday at Oakland Acres Golf Course in Grinnell, Iowa to qualify for the NCAA III National Cross Country Championships next Saturday (Nov. 21) in Cleveland, Ohio.

November 7

Jackie Spelts and Hayley Sutter placed first and second to lead the Nebraska Wesleyan University women to their fourth straight team title at the GPAC Cross Country Championships at Valley View Golf Course in Fremont, Neb., on Saturday morning (Nov. 7).

October 17

The Nebraska Wesleyan University cross country teams had an outstanding day at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 17) in La Crosse, Wis.  The Prairire Wolves women placed second overall in the field of 32 teams, while the NWU men finished seventh.

October 3

The Nebraska Wesleyan University cross country teams had a successful trip out west as both the men and women competed very well at the Charles Bowles Invitational hosted by Williamatte University in Salem, Ore., on Saturday (Oct. 3). The Prairie Wolves men finished fifth as a team in the 8k Cardinal race, while the women were eighth in the 5k Cardinal race.

September 19

The Nebraska Wesleyan University cross country teams opened their 2009 season on Saturday (Sept. 19) when they competed at the 20th Annual Woody Greeno/Nebraska Cross Country Invitational at Pioneers Park in Lincoln. The NWU women placed second in the college division, while the NWU men were seventh in the college division.

July 2

Nebraska Wesleyan University Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ted Bulling has released the names of 27 recruits who plan to compete in cross country and/or track and field while attending NWU in 2009-10.
