Nebraska Wesleyan held the University of Sioux Falls without a point for the first six minutes of the game, but the Prairie Wolves scored only four for nearly the first 14 minutes as USF jumped ahead 18-4 and never looked back cruising to the 69-35 win.

The Prairie Wolves were held under 40 points for the second straight game and also committed over 30 turnovers in the second game in a row as they finished with 34 total turnovers.

NWU falls to 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the GPAC in their third straight loss, while Sioux Falls improved to 14-8 and 6-4.

Offense was a problem again for Nebraska Wesleyan as they shot 33.3 percent from the field hitting 14-42 field goals. NWU also was outscored 38-5 in bench play as Sadie Struebing came off the bench to score the only points from the Prairie Wolves bench.

The lone NWU player to reach double figures was Mallory Shanahan with 10 points. She also led the team with six rebounds.

Elizabeth Hildreth led Sioux Falls with 16 points and six rebounds.

NWU is right back in action on Monday night (Jan. 18) when they host Midland Lutheran in a makeup game. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
