Women Fall 67-60 at Dubuque

Nebraska Wesleyan pulled within two points in the final minute, but Dubuque went 5-6 from the free throw stripe to seal the 67-60 victory over the Prairie Wolves on Saturday afternoon in Dubuque, Iowa.

NWU falls to 3-7 overall as they drop their fourth straight game, while Dubuque improves to 6-4.

The only lead for the Prairie Wolves was at 2-0 to start the game. Dubuque built up a 14 point lead with over 15 minutes to play before NWU slowly chipped away at the lead.

Katy Golden made a layup with 40 seconds to play to make the score 62-60, but that would be the final points for NWU as they did not convert on their final two possessions.

Shea Rasmussen led the Prairie Wolves with 13 points with Golden adding 10 points. Hannah Marshall came off the bench to score nine points and grab seven rebounds.

For Dubuque, Krystal Parr had a game-high 20 points hitting six 3-pointers.

Nebraska Wesleyan will continue their road trip on Monday as they play MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill.
