Nebraska Wesleyan University head women’s basketball coach Eric Jensen has released the names of 12 recruits who are planning to attend NWU and intend to play women’s basketball for the Prairie Wolves in 2012-13.
The group of recruits includes 10 high school seniors and two transfers. Four of the players were Nebraska All-State selections this past season.
Kaitlyn Janata was Class D-2 1st-Team All-State and was part of 2012 state runner-up team at Howells High School, Felicia Tekolste earned Class B 2nd-Team All-State honors leading Norris to the state tournament. Koi Bradley was Class A honorable mention and part of the Class A State Championship team, while Kelly Sanchez earned honorable mention Class C-1. In addition, Courtney Cook played in the Kansas-Missouri All-Star game in Kansas City.
“We are very excited about this season’s recruiting class,” said Jensen who is entering his fifth season at NWU. “These student-athletes will be a big part of continuing to take the Prairie Wolves women’s basketball program to the next level.”
