Nebraska Wesleyan University head women’s basketball coach Eric Jensen has released the names of 15 recruits who plan to compete in women’s basketball at NWU in 2009-10The recruiting class includes 11 players from Nebraska, three from Colorado and one from Iowa. Eight of the players received honorable mention All-State honors during their senior season.
“I am excited about the large group of players that we brought in to Nebraska Wesleyan,” said Jensen, who just completed his first season at NWU. “This is a talented class of student athletes that will help to build the Prairie Wolves women’s basketball program into what we want it to be.”
The NWU women finished the 2008-09 season with a 6-21 record in Coach Jensen’s first season. The Prairie Wolves are expected to return nine lettermen including the top three scorers from last year’s team.
