Northwestern jumped out to a 13-0 lead to start the game and rolled to a 77-43 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan in GPAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 3) in Lincoln, Neb.
NWU has now lost five straight games to fall to 1-5 overall, 0-3 in GPAC while Northwestern improves to 6-4, 3-2 GPAC.
The Prairie Wolves did pull within nine points at 33-24 with 4:121 remaining in the first half but scored just two points to close out the half.
Northwestern would go on a 30-8 run over the next 14 minutes as they built up a 30-point lead.
NWU again struggled the basketball hitting just 26.3 percent from the field making under 30 percent for the second straight game. The Prairie Wolves also committed 25 turnovers.
All-American Kami Kuhlmann had a huge game for Northwestern as she scored 27 points on 11-14 shooting. Kendra De Jong also reached double figures with 17 points for the Red Raiders.
Carolina Alves was the lone NWU player in double figures with 13 points and seven rebounds.
