#10 Red Raiders Roll Past Wolves 80-45

3-time reigning National Champion Northwestern College forced 28 Nebraska Wesleyan University turnovers as the 10th-ranked Red Raiders rolled past the Prairie Wolves, 80-45, in GPAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 12) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

The Red Raiders (14-4, 8-3 GPAC) jumped out to an 18-point halftime lead and went on to shoot 55.6 percent in the second half as they extended their lead and cruised to the win.

NWU (3-13, 1-10) was within three points at 18-15 with just over 10 minutes remaining in the first half but the Red Raiders went on a 18-4 run over the next eight minutes to pull away.

The Prairie Wolves struggled taking care of the basketball with 28 turnovers as a team, while shooting just 30.0 percent from the floor.

Senior Mallory Shanahan recorded another double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds while adding six steals. She was the lone NWU player in double figures.

Alli Dunkelberger led all scorers with 23 points for Northwestern hitting 4-6 from 3-point range.
