Prairie Wolves Push #3 Mustangs But Fall Short
Nebraska Wesleyan gave 3rd-ranked Morningside College all they wanted and then some but the Mustangs finally pulled away for a 65-50 win in GPAC women's basketball on Wednesday night (Jan. 2) at Snyder Arena.
The Prairie Wolves led the majority of the first half and by as many as 12 points with just under 13 minutes to play before Morningside rallied to tie the game 32-32 at halftime.
In the second half, NWU led 38-37 with 17:39 to play, but a 3-pointer by Chelsie Trask put the Mustangs ahead and they would never trail again.
