Shea Rasmussen received an appropriate honor to complete her storied basketball career at Nebraska Wesleyan when she was named an NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-American as the team's were announced on Wednesday (Mar. 14).

Shea Rasmussen, a senior guard from Nebraska Wesleyan, was named the Player-of-the-Year as the All-Independent Women’s Basketball teams were announced by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I). Mallory Shanahan was named to the All-AD3I Second-Team while Janelle Baal was honorable mention.

Three Nebraska Wesleyan University women’s basketball players earned All-Conference honors when the 2011-12 GPAC Women’s Basketball All-Conference teams were released on Wednesday (Feb. 29). Senior guard Shea Rasmussen headlines the list by earning First-Team All-GPAC. Junior forward Mallory Shanahan and junior guard Janelle Baal both were named All-GPAC honorable mention.

Nebraska Wesleyan was outscored 17-4 over a ten minute period to end the first half and start the second half as Hastings College turned a three-point game into a 14-point lead as the Broncos went on to earn a 61-52 victory in GPAC women's basketball action on Wednesday night (Feb. 8) on Senior Night at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's basketball team led for the entire first half and nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in school history but they came up just short in the end as 5th-ranked Morningside College defeated NWU, 87-77, in GPAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

Nebraska Wesleyan University senior Shea Rasmussen was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Basketball team that was announced on Thursday (Feb. 2). She was voted to the District 6 First-Team in the College division.

Two-time defending NAIA II National Champion Northwestern College showed why they are ranked in the top 10 again this season as they ran past Nebraska Wesleyan 85-51 on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 14) in GPAC women's basketball in Orange City, Iowa.

Doane held a +22 rebound advantage for the game and pulled down 23 offensive rebounds as the Tigers took care of Nebraska Wesleyan, 90-68, in GPAC women's basketball action on Wednesday night (Jan. 11) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Dakota Wesleyan went on a 10-0 run early in the second half to build up a 20-point lead and they would not allow Nebraska Wesleyan to get back within single digits as the Tigers defeated the Prairie Wolves 78-61 in GPAC women's basketball action on Saturday (Jan. 7) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.
