Winless Colorado College outscored undefeated Nebraska Wesleyan by 21 points in the second half as the Prairie Wolves shot only 26.1 percent for the game giving Colorado College the 69-52 win on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 28) in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the 2010 Colorado College Thanksgiving Classic.

Mallory Shanahan had a huge game tying her career-high of 22 points while setting a new career best with 18 rebounds as she led the Nebraska Wesleyan women to a 68-61 victory over Chapman University on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 27) at the Colorado College Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colo.

For the first time in school history, the Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team defeated traditional power Hastings College in Hastings as they got a 65-61 victory over the Prairie Wolves in the GPAC opener on Tuesday night (Nov. 23) at Lynn Farrell Arena in Hastings.

Nebraska Wesleyan University junior guard Shea Rasmussen has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week.

Shea Rasmussen poured in a career-high 32 points to earn MVP honors as she led the Nebraska Wesleyan women to a 79-64 victory over St. Catherine’s University (Minn.) to give the Prairie Wolves the NWU Tip-Off Tournament title on Saturday (Nov. 20) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Four different players scored in double figures as Nebraska Wesleyan improved to 2-0 on the early season with a 80-50 victory over Martin Luther College on the first day of the NWU Women's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament held Friday night (Nov. 19) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln. In the other game of the night, St. Catherine's University defeated Central College 87-56.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's basketball team will host the 2010 NWU Tip-Off Tournament this weekend at Snyder Arena to open the 2010-11 home basketball schedule. The two-day tournament will begin with two games on Friday night (Nov. 19) followed by the consolation and championship games on Saturday afternoon.

Nebraska Wesleyan ended the game on a 10-3 run over the final 1:08 to break open a tie game and go on to earn the 81-74 win over Buena Vista University in the 2010-11 season opener for the Prairie Wolves women's basketball team on Tuesday night (Nov. 16) at Storm Lake, Iowa.

The 2010-11 Great Plains Athletic Conference women's basketball preseason coaches' poll was released on Tuesday (Oct. 12). Nebraska Wesleyan received 21 votes and was picked to finish in a tie for 11th in the poll. Points were awarded on an 11-1 basis and coaches' could not vote for their own team.
