The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's basketball team will open up the 2012-13 season this weekend (Nov. 16-17) in Colorado at the Colorado College Classic in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Prairie Wolves will face Macalester on Friday night at 5 pm, then take on the College of St. Benedict on Saturday at 3 pm.

Head Coach Eric Jensen begins his fifth season with the Prairie Wolves and welcomes back two starters and seven letterwinners from last season's team. Senior guard Janelle Baal and senior forward Mallory Shanahan both earned All-Conference recognition last season and will both be entering their fourth year as starters at NWU.

NWU opened the year last Saturday with an exhibition game at the University of Sioux Falls.

This will be the first ever meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Macalester in women's basketball and the third time they have met St. Benedict.
