Midland Sweeps NWU in GPAC Volleyball

21st-ranked Midland University pounded out 42 kills, while Nebraska Wesleyan had 23 hitting errors as the Warriors swept past the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in GPAC volleyball action on Wednesday night (Sept. 26) in Fremont.

Midland defeated NWU in scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-16. The Prairie Wolves fall to 6-7 overall, 1-4 in GPAC while the Warriors improve to 12-6, 4-1 GPAC.

NWU was hurt by errors the entire match as they hit .000 as a team with 23 kills and 23 errors. The Prairie Wolves also committed three service errors and three reception errors in the match.

Midland had two players with double digit kills as Mackenzie Scheef recorded 11 kills and Keri Lenz added 10.

For NWU, Cicely Batie and Karny Kuehl each had six kills to pace the Prairie Wolves. Alex Springman handed out 18 assists with Mackenzie Hite recording 11 digs.
