Hastings College swept past Nebraska Wesleyan in straight sets, 25-16, 25-16, 25-14, in the GPAC volleyball opener for the Prairie Wolves on Tuesday night (Sept. 11) at Lynn Farrell Arena in Hastings, Neb.
NWU (3-2, 0-1 GPAC) had 24 total attack errors and hit just .038 as a team in the match, while Hastings had a .232 hitting percentage with 35 kills.
Besides the 24 attack errors, NWU also had eight service errors, five reception errors and two block errors for a total of 39 errors on the night.
Katelyn Walsh led the NWU attack with 13 kills on the night, while Karny Kuehl added five kills. Alex Springman handed out 26 assists and Mackenzie Hite had 19 digs.
Hastings (12-2, 2-0) extended their winning streak to 10 straight matches. Kendra Schwein and Jessica Osterhaus each had nine kills to pace the Broncos.
Nebraska Wesleyan will step out of conference this weekend as they travel to Indianola, Iowa to play four matches in the Simpson College Tournament.
