The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team completed their 2009 regular season, and they now are awaiting the announcement of the NCAA Division IIII National Tournament selection to see if they receive an invitation to their sixth straight tournament.
The selection show will take place Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 am, and the Prairie Wolves have planned to gather to watch the show as a team. NWU team members and staff will meet in Weary Center Classroom 106B on Monday morning to watch the selection show. Fans and media are also invited to join the team for the announcement. The show will be broadcast out of the NCAA headquarters on www.ncaa.com.
Nebraska Wesleyan is ranked No. 2 in the Central Region when the final regional poll was released on Wednesday. They are ranked No. 22 in the AVCA/DIII poll. NWU has been to five straight NCAA III Tournaments, and made 12 overall appearances in the tournament. The Prairie Wolves are 5-12 overall in the NCAA Tournament.
