NWU Volleyball Remains 20th in AVCA Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team remained ranked No. 20 for the second consecutive week in the AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released on Tuesday (Oct. 27).

Nebraska Wesleyan is 17-9 overall heading into their final week of regular season play.  The Prairie Wolves have two remaining matches this week, both home matches in Snyder Arena.

NWU takes on nationally-ranked Morningside College on Friday night at 7:30 pm.  The match will be senior night for the Prairie Wolves, as they will honor the four senior members of the team.  

Saturday, the Prairie Wolves host Briar Cliff University at 12:30 pm, in conjunction with homecoming festivities on the NWU campus.  Saturday’s match will also be the Dig Pink match as NWU will wear pink uniforms and there will be free admission.  A silent auction will take place before the match with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research.  The first 200 fans will also receive a free T-shirt.

The Prairie Wolves are attempting to qualify for the NCAA III Postseason Tournament for the sixth straight season.  The official announcement of the NCAA III Tournament field will be Monday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.
