Nebraska Wesleyan moved up to No. 20 in this week's AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released on Oct. 20. The Prairie Wolves were ranked No. 21 in last week's poll. It marks the fifth straight week that NWU has been ranked.
The Prairie Wolves are 16-8 overall and 6-6 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. NWU did lose both matches last weekend as they fell to NAIA No. 5 Northwestern College and at Dordt College by scores of 3-0.
NWU has four remaining regular season matches during the 2009 season. All four matches will be played at home in Snyder Arena. The Prairie Wolves host Concordia University on Wednesday (Oct. 21) then play rival Doane College Friday night.
The first NCAA Division III Regional rankings are also expected to be released on Wednesday as Nebraska Wesleyan hopes to receive a berth to their sixth straight NCAA III Tournament.
