Jedlicka Earns Volleyball Player of Week Honors

Nebraska Wesleyan University sophomore setter Ashley Jedlicka has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Volleyball Player-of-the-Week.  She was also named the GPAC Setter-of-the-Week.  She averaged 10.25 assists per set and 2.67 digs per set as 20th-ranked NWU went 2-1 on the week.

Ashley JedlickaJedlicka (Schuyler, Neb.) posted double-doubles in all three matches for the week.  She just missed a triple-double in a 3-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan with 38 assists, 10 digs and eight kills.  For the week she had 123 assists, 32 digs, 16 kills and eight total blocks in three matches.

On the season, Jedlicka ranks third in the GPAC in assists averaging 9.50 per set.  She now has 1,538 assists in her two year career which ranks her eighth on the NWU all-time charts.

Nebraska Wesleyan has a pair of tough road GPAC matches this weekend.  The Prairie Wolves face top 10 ranked Northwestern College on Friday night in Orange City, Iowa, then play at national power Dordt College on Saturday evening in Sioux Center, Iowa.
